The Bankruptcy Commission is pleased to announce the launch of the First Conference on Resolving Insolvencies (SCORI 2019) which will take place in Fairmont Riyadh Hotel on  April 29th and 30th 2019 AH, under the Patronage of H.E. the Minister of Commerce and Investment Dr. Majid Bin Abdallah Alqassabi.

The conference provides an overview of the positive impact of bankruptcy laws in resolving insolvencies through setting an attractive investment environment that protects the investment entities and support the continuation of their investment practice. This overview is based on the latest international and domestic practices that is related to the procedures of the new Bankruptcy Law issued by Royal Decree No. (M/50) dated 28/05/1439 A.H. namely Protective Settlement, Financial Restructuring, and Liquidation procedures.

SCORI 2019 comes in collaboration with all stakeholders related to the bankruptcy law within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, prestigious international organizations and a high level international and local audience to highlight the importance of the law within the economy, its role in encouraging investment and facilitating business.

The Conference will include key address speeches, panels, workshops and an exhibition, bringing together national and international experts to discuss topics that are relevant to understand in the new law and its impact in the economy, build the needed trustees and experts’ capacity and the required awareness among the public in general and the business community in particular.
