استكشف قانون التحكيم في دولة الكويت مع “ليكسس نيكسس الشرق الأوسط” ومجموعة الياقوت والفوزان القانونية. Arbitration law in Kuwait was first introduced in 1959. Since then, it has only been updated once when commercial arbitration laws were codified in 1995. To put things into perspective, it has been decades since the last time Kuwait looked at its Arbitration regime, implying the slow development in this area compared to its neighbouring gulf states. So, the question arises: How effective is Arbitration in Kuwait as a dispute resolution method? Explore Kuwait’s Arbitration Law with LexisNexis Middle East and Al-Yaqout & Al-Fouzan Legal Group in an online training session!

  • Whistleblowing Protections in the UAE
     31/08/2021
     9:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Laws around whistle-blowing and protection for whistle-blowers are developing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) as the country seeks to align its employment legislation with international best practice. While there is no specific statutory definition of whistle-blowing under UAE federal laws, there are now a number of laws that provide for whistle-blower protection where certain criteria are met. Most recently, the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC) court has sought to clarify the protections available to whistle-blowers under the DIFC Operating Law, as well as its own jurisdiction to grant relief where an employer is found to have breached those protections. Join LexisNexis Middle East, the DIFC Academy and Pinsent Masons for an online training session where we will look at whistleblowing protections in the UAE.
